What is Nalgesin S and its Uses:
Nalgesin S provides pain relief, reduces inflammation, and lowers fever by inhibiting prostaglandin synthesis. With fast dissolution and rapid onset, these tablets effectively alleviate mild to moderate pain, including toothache, headache, muscle, joint, back, and menstrual pain.
Precautions and Usage Guidelines for Nalgesin S:
- Avoid Nalgesin S if allergic to naproxen or any listed ingredients.
- Do not use in cases of gastrointestinal ulceration, bleeding history, or severe heart failure.
- Avoid concurrent use with other analgesics, including acetyl salicylic acid or nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs.
- Not recommended during the last trimester of pregnancy or for pain treatment exceeding 3 days without consulting a doctor.
- Not suitable for children and adolescents under 16, unless instructed by a doctor.
Warnings and Precautions:
- Consult your doctor or pharmacist if you experience high blood pressure symptoms or clotting disorders.

- Inform your doctor or pharmacist about other medications, as Nalgesin S may increase or reduce their effects.
- Interactions may occur with analgesics, anticoagulants, diabetes management drugs, epilepsy medications, hypertension medications, furosemide, lithium, immunosuppressive drugs, medications for malignant disorders, and corticosteroids.
Administration with Food and Drink:
- Take tablets with a small amount of liquid before, during, or after a meal.
Pregnancy, Breastfeeding, and Fertility:

- Naproxen usage during pregnancy is not recommended, especially in the last trimester.

Sodium Content:
- Each tablet contains 25.079 mg of sodium, equal to 1.25% of the maximum recommended daily intake for adults.
How to Use Nalgesin S:
- Follow the instructions provided by your doctor or pharmacist.
- Recommended dosage for adults and adolescents (16 years and older) is 1 tablet every 8 to 12 hours, up to a maximum of 3 times a day. The first dose can be 2 tablets.
- Patients aged 65 and older should take 1 tablet every 12 hours, up to a maximum of 2 times a day.
- Do not use Nalgesin S tablets in children under 16 years without consulting a doctor.
- Maximum duration of treatment without consulting a doctor is 3 days.
If You Use Too Much or Miss a Dose:
- Contact your doctor immediately if you have taken too much Nalgesin S or if you have accidentally missed a dose.
- Taking a double dose is not recommended.
Possible Side Effects:
- Nalgesin S may cause side effects in some individuals, though not everyone experiences them.
- Common side effects include abdominal pain, vomiting, nausea, dizziness, fatigue, sleep disturbances, ringing in the ears, or leg swelling. Inform your doctor if these occur.
- Serious side effects are rare but may include gastrointestinal bleeding, facial swelling, rash, asthma attacks, or fainting. Seek urgent medical aid if you experience these.
- Medications like Nalgesin S may have an elevated risk of heart attack or stroke.
How to Store Nalgesin S:
- Keep out of reach and sight of children.
- Store below 25°C.
- Do not use after the expiry date mentioned on the carton.
- Dispose of unused medicines according to your pharmacist’s instructions to protect the environment.
